Celebrating Local Heroes Making a Difference

Giving back and recognizing the people who make our communities stronger has always been at the heart of Carla Cares. There are so many incredible people throughout Western Massachusetts who give their time, support others, and make a difference every day, often without expecting any recognition in return.

I recently had the opportunity to join Mass Appeal on WWLP to talk about Hyundai’s Salute to Heroes, an initiative focused on recognizing those everyday heroes and sharing their stories.

A hero can be anyone who goes above and beyond for others, a first responder, healthcare worker, teacher, volunteer, community leader, neighbor, or someone who simply continues to show up when their community needs them most.

Programs like Salute to Heroes are so important because they give these individuals the recognition they deserve while reminding us just how many amazing people are making a difference right here in our own communities.
