Do you know Carla?

Carla J. Cosenzi is the President of TommyCar Auto Group in Western Massachusetts alongside her brother, overseeing the promotion and expansion of the TommyCar brand. TommyCar Auto operates five dealerships: Country Nissan in Hadley, MA; Country Hyundai relocated to Northampton, MA; Northampton Volkswagen in Northampton, MA; Volvo Cars Pioneer Valley in South Deerfield, MA; and Genesis of Northampton in Northampton, MA.

Education

Carla is a graduate of Northeastern University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology as well as a master’s degree from Columbia in clinical psychology. She is a member of the Jimmy Fund Council of Western Massachusetts, the UMass Nursing Advisory Council, and on the Board of Directors for the Northampton Center of the Arts.

Community Love

Carla's inspiration to create Carla Cares is derived from the fact that she owes the success of her businesses to her community. Because of this, she works tirelessly and endlessly to support and advocate for causes that both her and the community are passionate about. Giving back is something that her father instilled in her, always making it a priority to give back to their community as well as the communities around them. Carla took it upon herself to not only make giving back a priority in her own personal life, but also incorporate community involvement into the everyday culture of her businesses. Carla works hard to constantly support causes she contributes to on a regular basis, in addition to finding new projects and organizations to assist and advocate for each and every day.

Community Involvement

Carla Cosenzi is the Co-President of Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament; a flagship philanthropic event in the Western New England auto-dealership community. This event is just one of the many ways Carla has given back to the community. The tournament has raised over 1 MILLION DOLLARS to support Patrick Wen, MD, and his research colleagues in the Center for Neuro-Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Top 10 of Pioneer Valley

Mrs. Cosenzi has been awarded Top 10 Businesswomen of the Pioneer Valley by Women Business Owners Alliance, Professional Woman of the Year by Western MA Women Magazine Women to Watch and was honored at BusinessWest ‘40 Under 40. She has also appeared as a frequent guest on Auto Dealer Live due to her extensive knowledge in the auto industry.
