Sip & Shop With The Gals

A group of over 30 local women-owned businesses joined forces to host this ‘women-supporting-women’ event, called ‘Sip & Shop With The Gals’. Businesses were given the chance to make their presence heard, in an effort to increase their growth and profitability. Carla Cosenzi, the President of TommyCar Auto Group says this was an opportunity to introduce businesses in a different way.

Cosenzi told 22News, “there a lot of small women-owned businesses that maybe don’t have the type of opportunity to get the type of exposure they would need.”

Cosenzi added that inspiring women into becoming their best selves will continue as a tradition through the years to come.

We are so honored to host this event and cannot wait to do it again in the future!

On Wednesday, TommyCar Auto revealed that Halil Kuzo of Northampton Volkswagen, one of their very own sales consultants, has been adversely impacted by the tragic earthquake in Turkey. His entire family resides in the town that was affected by the earthquake.

According to a TommyCar Auto news release sent to 22News, his mother, father, brother, sister, aunts, uncles, and friends are all enduring this sorrow right now. They have lost everything, along with many others.

No Shave November

No Shave November is devoted to “growing” cancer awareness while raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, education about cancer prevention, as well as those fighting the battle. It’s a month-long journey in which participants forgo shaving in order to evoke conversations while raising cancer awareness.

We partner with the Hampshire County Sheriff’s department and all the proceeds will go towards the Tom Cosenzi Driving the The Cure which supports Brain Cancer research at Dana Farber in Boston, MA.

Not only does the Sheriff’s get involved, but all our dealerships and staff get involved to participate! We look forward to this every year and is an easy way to get involved.

This year, we raised a total of $8,616.78! Thank you so much the Hampshire Sheiff’s Department, along with our TommyCard Rewards members who donated their points towards No Shave November.

Woman of Impact

One thing I love about the car industry is seeing how it evolves every day. When I first started, there was barely in woman in this industry and now when I look around the dealerships, they’re everywhere. From administration, to marketing, sales, auto body, and so much more. I am proud to say we are woman owned, along with woman ran as well.

BusinessWest has long recognized the contributions of women within the business community and created the Women of Impact awards four years ago to further honor women who have the authority and power to move the needle in their business, are respected for accomplishments within their industries, give back to the community, and are sought out as respected advisors and mentors within their field of influence.

When going to the Women of Impact dinner, I always leave feeling inspired & touched by everyones story. Im honored to be apart of this event and to see the community grow, along with being part of Women Supporting Women.

This year we did a signature cocktail! Every signature cocktail purchased we are donating to one of my favorite charities, Christina’s House in Springfield. Below is a link to learn more about Christina’s House and how you can support them as well!

2022 Hot Chocolate Run

Every year we support Safe Passage by running in Hot Chocolate Run. Safe Passage is the Hampshire County organization addressing domestic violence. Since 1977, Safe Passage has helped thousands of families achieve safety, build justice, and rebuild their lives in the wake of domestic violence. The funds raised help provide safe shelter, legal assistance, and critical counseling services for adults and kids who have lived with violence in their homes

People at risk of domestic violence – the people you support through your Hot Chocolate Run fundraising efforts – face even greater dangers during this pandemic. As access to family and friends has been restricted, people at risk of violence are also having to spend more time in the presence of their abusers.

You can learn more about Safe Passage and domestic violence on their website: https://safepass.org.
