Every year TommyCar Auto Group sponsors the HRU's Annual Employer Recognition & Awards Breakfast. This event recognizes local employers that have distinguished themselves in the past year by hiring productive individuals with a disability and integrating them into their workforce.

HRU serves more than 1,600 people per year, some of whom have physical and mental disabilities; others are disadvantaged by poverty or homelessness. HRU helps individuals overcome barriers and achieve their goals, whether by participating in community activities or finding a job with a business that sees the benefit of diversifying their workplace by employing a disabled or disadvantaged worker.

TommyCar Auto Group's support helps HRU to continue to serve all of their members without ever having to turn people away.

Country Nissan, Country Hyundai and Northampton Volkswagen Sponsor the 19th Annual Enterprise Holdings Golf Tournament

September 15th, 2016- TommyCar Auto Group was honored to support the 19th Annual Enterprise Holdings Golf Tournament. The tournament benefited the Special Olympics Connecticut at Lyman Orchards Golf Club. It was a fantastic day and we look forward to the 20th Annual Golf Tournament.

Country Hyundai and Northampton Host Operation Kidsafe

Northampton MA- On August 27th, Country Hyundai and Northampton Volkswagen hosted Operation Kidsafe. Parents received a free set of digital fingerprints and photo of their child, safety tips and a form ready to hand to law enforcement in case of emergency.  Kevin Johnson from Mix 93.1 stopped by! Plus we had amazing activities lined up for the day including face painting, prizes, games, and amazing treats! We even had Papa Gino's donate pizza! 

The Operation Kidsafe system, procedure and layout were developed using consultants from the FBI, Police Officials and fingerprinting experts.

Northampton MA- On July 30th, 2016 Country Nissan and Northampton Volkswagen attended the Mass Drive Clean Car Expo. The MASS DRIVE CLEAN is the nation’s first state-sponsored electric vehicle test drive campaign. Introducing potential consumers to electric vehicles through dynamic test drive experiences has proven to be the most effective mechanism for boosting consumer awareness and spurring adoption by individuals and fleet owners alike. Well-designed and produced events overcome consumer confusion about ZEVs, help educate them about the specific attributes of the cars, and provide a launch point into later adoption.

Country Nissan and Northampton Volkswagen took dozens of consumers on test drives throughout the day. It was a great day for the Nissan Leaf and Volkswagen eGolf.
