Country Hyundai and Northampton Host Operation Kidsafe

Northampton MA- On August 27th, Country Hyundai and Northampton Volkswagen hosted Operation Kidsafe. Parents received a free set of digital fingerprints and photo of their child, safety tips and a form ready to hand to law enforcement in case of emergency.  Kevin Johnson from Mix 93.1 stopped by! Plus we had amazing activities lined up for the day including face painting, prizes, games, and amazing treats! We even had Papa Gino's donate pizza! 

The Operation Kidsafe system, procedure and layout were developed using consultants from the FBI, Police Officials and fingerprinting experts.

TommyCar Auto Group atteneded the Mass Drive Clean Car Expo

Northampton MA- On July 30th, 2016 Country Nissan and Northampton Volkswagen attended the Mass Drive Clean Car Expo. The MASS DRIVE CLEAN is the nation’s first state-sponsored electric vehicle test drive campaign. Introducing potential consumers to electric vehicles through dynamic test drive experiences has proven to be the most effective mechanism for boosting consumer awareness and spurring adoption by individuals and fleet owners alike. Well-designed and produced events overcome consumer confusion about ZEVs, help educate them about the specific attributes of the cars, and provide a launch point into later adoption.

Country Nissan and Northampton Volkswagen took dozens of consumers on test drives throughout the day. It was a great day for the Nissan Leaf and Volkswagen eGolf.

Tommy Car Auto Group awards 2 students each with a $1K scholarships

Tommy Car Auto Group awarded two students each with a $1,000 scholarship to attend college this fall.

The Scholarship received an overwhelming number of applicants this year, totaling over 100 applications by local students. Jennifer Moss of Hopkins Academy will be attending University of Massachusetts. Olivia Kiritsis of Shepard Hill Regional High School will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Both students demonstrated excellence in the classroom and in the community.

The Tom Cosenzi Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Thomas E. Cosenzi. When Thomas E. Cosenzi passed away in 2009, it was not only ownership of the TommyCar Auto Group that passed to his children Carla and Thomas M., but his legacy of giving back to the community. That legacy was evident when the two recipients of a 2016 Tom Cosenzi Scholarship were awarded their checks for $1,000. The program has expanded to Hopkins Academy in Hadley, Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley and Northampton High School. Northampton High School unfortunately did not participate this year even though it was open to all graduating high school seniors.

We had so much fun supporting the Northampton Pride Parade on May 7th! We celebrated their 35th anniversary of LGBT pride, love, strength and progress.

Cruising for Miracles

Northampton Volkswagen and Baystate Children’s Hospital partnered for the fifth year in a row for the Cruising for Miracles! This year during the month of March, Northampton Volkswagen donated $10 for every Passat test drive and $100 for every Passat purchased to the Children’s Miracle Network and Baystate Children’s Hospital. Thanks to customer involvement, Northampton Volkswagen was able to donate $1,520 towards the work and well-being of Baystate Children's Hospital. To date, Northampton Volkswagen has raised over $15,000.
