The TommyCar Auto Group was proud to support the 12th Annual Hot Chocolate Run in Northampton, MA. We were amongst the 6,000 people who attended the event! The Hot Chocolate Run raises funds for Safe Passage, the Hampshire County organization providing shelter, counseling, and advocacy services to women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
TommyCar Auto Group was happy to be part of the 5th Annual Florence 5K Walk & Run to help raise funds for Homeward Vets Inc. Homeward Vets is an organization that provides free furniture to veterans who are transitioning from chronic homelessness and into permenant housing.
HADLEY- The Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament announced today that it has raised $103,000 to support Dr. Patrick Wen and his team of researchers in the Neuro-Oncology Department at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In the last seven years, the tournament has raised more than half a million dollars.
Due to the tremendous support that this years’ tournament brought, the tournament was expanded to Crestview Country Club and Oak Ridge Golf Club. This year the 4-player scramble attracted 220 golfers and 250 banquet guests. It included a full day of golf, dinner and a silent and live-auction in the evening. Autotrader was the event’s Platinum Sponsor.
This tournament was created in memory of our father, who passed away from a Glioblastoma Brain Tumor,” stated Carla Cosenzi. “Whether you were a sponsor, a golfer, a donor, or a volunteer, we would like to thank everyone for their participation in the 7th Annual Tom Cosenzi Driving for the Cure Charity Golf Tournament especially our presenting sponsor, Autotrader. Northampton Volkswagen was honored to support the Springfield Tigers Youth Football Team! We were able to donate funds to help the team go to Florida for the nationals!! We hope you had a great season! Go Tigers!
The Springfield Youth Tigers had a big season in the American Youth Football League. The team of 5th-6th graders received the opportunity to play in a national tournament.
The 10-0 Tigers earned a trip to Kissimmee, Fla., for a tournament involving regional champions from across the country.
The Tigers were raising funds to get the 18 kids to Florida!
Carla and the managers of Northampton Volkswagen and Country Hyundai recently provided a used vehicle to the Northampton Firefighters Local 108 department for rescue training. Firefighters spend countless hours training and honing their skills to ensure they are prepared for any emergency. The vehicle will be put to work in upcoming training exercises in which firefighters will utilize their extrication equipment on the vehicles, also known as the Hurst Tool or the Jaws of Life.
